The full curfew imposed on Sundays will be canceled.

The full curfew imposed on Sundays will be canceled.

Prime Minister Saner noted that the Council of Ministers will meet tomorrow, May 21, and will assess the decisions taken by the Supreme Committee on Infectious Diseases.

Prime Minister Ersan Saner delivered the good news live on BRT that the full curfew imposed on Sundays, including this Sunday, will be canceled. Saner said the restrictions applied to other days will also apply to Sundays.

When asked about crossings between Cyprus, Saner said: “The number of cases in the south has not yet decreased. Consequently, the checkpoints will not be open yet. We plan to open all border crossings as soon as the number of cases decreases. Day trips across the border will be allowed subject to a 72-hour PCR test, ”the statement said.

It is reported that people from countries outside the red zone who have received double vaccinations can enter the TRNC without quarantine, and that detailed explanations will be given after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
