Ministry of Interior Strengthens Immigration Control: Nationwide Inspections Launched

Ministry of Interior Strengthens Immigration Control: Nationwide Inspections Launched

The Immigration Management Center, operating under the Ministry of Interior, has announced the launch of large-scale, coordinated inspections across the entire territory of Northern Cyprus. These inspections are carried out in cooperation with the police and district governorships and aim to identify individuals without legal status in the country. The Ministry emphasized that deportation procedures will be implemented strictly and without compromise.

According to the Ministry, the inspections are conducted with active support from regional police directorates and district governorships. Intensified efforts are being carried out particularly in Lefkoşa, Girne, Güzelyurt, Lefke, and İskele. The inspections cover all districts and are being conducted systematically around the clock.

Ministry representatives highlighted that the identification of individuals lacking legal status is being carried out swiftly. All necessary procedures, including deportation, are implemented in full accordance with the relevant laws.

The Ministry stressed that these measures aim to ensure national security, maintain public order, and protect social peace. The inspections will continue uninterrupted, and up-to-date information will be regularly shared through official channels.

All government institutions actively support the work of the Immigration Management Center, ensuring full inter-institutional cooperation. The Ministry has assured the public that updates on the inspections will continue to be provided promptly.
