During the meeting of the Prime Minister with the President of the Turkish Cypriot Travel Agents Association (KITSAB), Orhan Tolun and members of the Board, it was noted that the efforts made by the Union of Travel Agents to develop tourism in the tourism sector of the country are very important in these difficult days.
Tourist activities were unable to function compared to previous years due to the coronavirus pandemic. 
Prime Minister Ersan Saner said Turkey will provide financial assistance to support the tourism sector. He said they will focus on what can be done in tourism and higher education in 2021, with work being carried out between the Prime Minister and the relevant ministries. He also noted that in a meeting with the rectors of the country's universities, a meeting was held on how to start full-time education again, Saner said they plan to announce the results of the study at the end of January.
A statement was made that people who have been vaccinated will be able to come to Northern Cyprus from 1 April 2021.
In this regard, a meeting will be held with the Supreme Committee on Infectious Diseases to discuss the procedure for the arrival of tourists. “Together with you, we feel and are responsible for the competitiveness of the TRNC in the tourism sector and for how to pave our way in 2021,” he said. President of the Cyprus Association of Turkish Travel Agencies Orhan Tolun spoke about the problems of tourism in general and travel agencies in particular. He said that travel agencies have been the only closed sector in the country since March 9, 2020.
