The Office for Development and Economic Cooperation (BSEC) of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia has provided a grant of 500 thousand Turkish lira to 27 livestock breeders to purchase the necessary equipment for the transition to the cold chain.
According to the information provided by the BSEC, the grant was provided under the project to support efforts to improve the hygiene and quality of milk and dairy products.
The aim of the project is to encourage the transition of livestock breeders who transfer hot milk to the cold chain or chilled milk production, which covers the process of keeping milk cold from production to processing.
Grants, agricultural grants and investment support project in accordance with the Agreement on Economic and Financial Cooperation of 2021 signed between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; Support for investments in warehouse milking machines and milk coolers. Within the framework of the project, this was done as part of improving the hygiene and quality of milk and dairy products.
The project to support investments in milking machines and warehouses for milk coolers is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the TRNC.
