Today marks the beginning of two festivals in Northern Cyprus. Lefke will host date festival, which begins today and will end tomorrow on November 3. The program includes traditional dances, games for kids, entertainment, contests , and stands with the traditional food cooked with dates . The festival will begin at 10 am and end at 8 pm.
In the village Dogankoy, today begins the festival of yellow hawthorn. The event will be officially opened at 2:00PM. During the two days music and dance groups will perform at the festival, traditional food will be sold, and contests will be held.
