Veterinary Department of Northern Cyprus issued a new law stating that all dogs in the country must have microchip, carrying the information about the dog and its owner. However, only the dogs that were acquired on the territory of Northern Cyprus must undergo microchip process, as the pets brought from abroad already had to be micro chipped. In the next few days information regarding the cost and clinics providing the procedure will be announced. Dog owners have to microchip their pets during the next 6 months; otherwise, any dogs found without a microchip will be collected.
