Bill on citizenship of Northern Cyprus

Bill on citizenship of Northern Cyprus

Historic law on Citizenship of Northern Cyprus has been translated into English and published on the internet page: http://www.brstrnc.com/images/stories/12.9.14Yasa_Tasarisi_in_English_Cquals_1_2.pdf
for reviews & opinions of residents. The bill will allow both residents who have property and those who are officially working in Northern Cyprus to obtain citizenship after five years of residence in the country. One of the main conditions for the residents will be that they should not spend more than 90 days a year outside of Northern Cyprus, as well as a steady income and the availability of property in Northern Cyprus. Similar conditions will apply for immigrants who work or have a business visa, but they are not to be located outside of the TRNC over 60 days per year.
