Ministry of Interior Launches New Digital Systems for Real Estate Transactions

Ministry of Interior Launches New Digital Systems for Real Estate Transactions

The Ministry of Interior of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has officially launched two new platforms — Web Title Deed and the enhanced TAKBİS Automation System — as part of the Land Registry and Cadastre Department’s transition to the metric system.

According to the Ministry, the following real estate-related transactions will now be processed through the updated system:

  • Property transfers such as sales, donations, and exchanges

  • Establishment of mortgages, including both personal and bank-related

  • Issuance of property reports and information inquiries

  • File-based services including archive access, document retrieval, and file inspections

The Ministry emphasized that all transactions must now be conducted within the district where the property is officially registered. Inter-district transactions will no longer be accepted.

Citizens are strongly encouraged to verify the official district of their property before starting any procedures, in order to avoid disruptions in the transaction process.
